Introducing our Featured Non-Profit Organization of February 2016:

We are working with many wonderful non-profit organizations that are making a difference for our community.

We are working with many wonderful non-profit organizations that are making a difference for our community.

Each year Columbus House provides close to 3,000 individuals, families with children, Veterans, and senior citizens with shelter, housing, support services and employment readiness.

The agency’s goal is to help those experiencing homelessness move towards independence and a permanent home in Hartford, Middlesex, New Haven, and New London Counties.

Columbus House relies on government grants as well as contributions from the private sector including businesses, foundations, individuals &fundraising programs like Helping Hands.

Please donate your gently used furniture, clothing, housewares and other gently used items to benefit Columbus House.  You can simply bring your donations to the

Liberty Community Services, Inc.

My daugther, Stephanie, and I are frequent shoppers at Helping Hands. It is fun to shop and browse. It is quite evident that a tremendous amount of work goes into display and presentation. Your employees are super! Gina and Gineza greet you immediately when you enter the door. They truly enjoy what they do and treat shoppers like they are family. They create a pleasurable atmosphere. Your store and yout employees are an asset to our community.
